6 weeks-12 months
Also known as the Infant Room, there is a maximum of 10 children in the room with a ratio of 1:5 for this classroom.
Children in the room are on their own daily schedule based on their normal routines established from home. Caregiving is one-on-one.
Parents provide food until such a time that their child begins transitioning to table food, and diapers
until their child is potty trained later on. The Center does provide baby wipes.
Incorporated in the daily schedule is a time for working on large and small motor skills, intellectual
thinking, plus social and emotional skill levels. There is a monthly developmental plan for each child
which is pulled together with discussion from the parents.
Reading and music are incorporated on a group level each week.
